Just because you can’t see the fireworks from your backyard, doesn’t mean you have to miss out on all of the action. Get in the patriotic spirit and celebrate seafood with this amazing 4th of July recipe: Firecracker Salmon.
Packed with flavors that will explode with every bite, this dish sticks to the Independence Day theme and is light enough to leave room for drinks and dessert.
6 Salmon Portions
1 Medium Onion, diced
1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
1/4 cup Soy Sauce
1/4 cup Balsamic Vinegar
1 Tbsp Honey
2 tsp Garlic, minced
2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
1 1/2 tsp Ground Ginger
1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
Toasted Sesame Seeds
Green Onion, minced
Place Salmon and Onion in a large zip-top bag.
Whisk together Oil, Soy Sauce, Vinegar, Honey, Garlic, Red Pepper Flakes, Ginger and Salt.
Pour 3/4 of the mixture over salmon and seal bag.
Chill at least 30 minutes.
Preheat Grill to high heat.
Remove salmon from marinade and place on a soaked cedar plank or in a grill safe fish basket.
Grill salmon approximately 5 minutes until cooked through.
